Marina Itajaí Boat Show 2024: Nautical Market Highlights in Santa Catarina

The city of Itajaí, in Santa Catarina, is gearing up to host the second edition of the largest nautical show in the South of Brazil, the Marina Itajaí Boat Show 2024. The event will take place from July 4th to 7th, marking another important stop in the Brazilian Boat Show circuit, which has already passed through Rio de Janeiro this year and will still visit Brasília, São Paulo, Salvador, and Foz do Iguaçu.

In 2023, Boat Show Eventos, which has been organizing the main nautical events in Latin America for 25 years, took over the former Marina Itajaí Nautical Show, elevating the event to a new level and attracting over 21,000 visitors in four days. The blend of business and celebration by the water captivated the audience, with 60 boats ranging from 16 to 90 feet displayed in the water, allowing for test drives and price and product comparisons.

The event was not limited to boats; it also brought together stores selling nautical products and services, fashion shows, and presentations of off-road vehicles and luxury cars. This success generated many deals, boosting a sector that employs around 100,000 people, according to data from the Brazilian Association of Boat Builders and Implements (Acobar).

Ernani Paciornik, president of NÁUTICA, highlighted the strength of the nautical sector in Santa Catarina, which has consolidated itself as the main nautical hub in Latin America over the past decade, both in terms of the number of shipyards and boats built. The state is home to around 40 of the country's 150 leisure boat shipyards and was responsible for 90% of Brazilian boat exports in 2021.

Itajaí, with its robust nautical infrastructure and the headquarters of the main shipyards specializing in yachts and large motorboats, accounts for over 50% of national nautical production. The creation of the Marina Itajaí Nautical Show in 2016 and its transformation under the Boat Show brand in 2023 were significant steps in fostering the economy and attracting consumers.

José Eduardo Cury, president of Mestra Boats, commented on the success of the 2023 event, highlighting the increased public interest and the presence of visitors from various Brazilian states such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, and Rio Grande do Sul.

Besides being a major business event, the Marina Itajaí Boat Show 2024 also promises to be an excellent leisure option, with good gastronomic choices and social areas with a sea view. The tourist attractions of Itajaí and the surrounding region, such as Beto Carrero World Park and the Itajaí Historical Museum, make the event even more unmissable.

A cidade de Itajaí, em Santa Catarina, se prepara para sediar a segunda edição do maior salão náutico do Sul do Brasil, o Marina Itajaí Boat Show 2024. O evento ocorrerá de 4 a 7 de julho, marcando mais uma parada importante no circuito de Boat Shows brasileiros, que neste ano já passou pelo Rio de Janeiro e ainda visitará Brasília, São Paulo, Salvador e Foz do Iguaçu.

Em 2023, a Boat Show Eventos, que há 25 anos organiza os principais eventos náuticos na América Latina, assumiu o antigo Salão Náutico Marina Itajaí, elevando o evento a um novo patamar e atraindo mais de 21 mil visitantes em quatro dias. A mistura de negócios e celebração à beira d’água encantou o público, com 60 embarcações de 16 a 90 pés expostas na água, permitindo test-drives e comparações de preços e produtos.

O evento não se limitou às embarcações, reunindo também lojas de produtos e serviços náuticos, desfiles de moda, e apresentações de veículos off-road e carros de luxo. Esse sucesso gerou muitos negócios, impulsionando um setor que emprega cerca de 100 mil pessoas, segundo dados da Associação Brasileira dos Construtores de Barcos e Implementos (Acobar).

Ernani Paciornik, presidente da NÁUTICA, destacou a força do setor náutico em Santa Catarina, que se consolidou como o principal polo náutico da América Latina na última década, tanto em número de estaleiros quanto de barcos construídos. O estado abriga cerca de 40 dos 150 estaleiros de barco de lazer do país e foi responsável por 90% das exportações brasileiras de barcos em 2021.

Itajaí, com sua robusta estrutura náutica e a sede dos principais estaleiros especializados em iates e lanchas de grande porte, responde por mais de 50% da produção náutica nacional. A criação do Salão Náutico Marina Itajaí em 2016 e sua transformação sob a marca Boat Show em 2023 foram passos significativos para fomentar a economia e atrair consumidores.
