The president of SINDIPI, Jorge Neves, participated, in Brasília, in a meeting that aimed to present the PL 4.414, which institutes the Fisherman's Support Fund (FAP) and creates environmental compensation for damage to fishing activities, to the national secretary of Aquaculture and Fisheries, Jorge Seif Junior. The meeting was scheduled by CONFAPESCA, which at the time was represented by its president, Misael de Lima, the vice president, André do Espírito Santo and the director of Environment, Otto Sobral.
