With 8500 kilometers of navigable Atlantic coast that can be used every month of the year and more than 45,000 kilometers of rivers, bays and lakes - Brazil is a highlight of the world Nautical Market and holds the potential to transform the economy of several states through of the development of Nautical Tourism. Therefore, city halls, secretaries and specialists from the international nautical sector gather at the 5th International Nautical Congress to discuss investments and best practices to expand the offer of services and generate income.

The event is the only national meeting in the sector that promotes the nautical chain and takes place on September 18 and 19 during the São Paulo Boat Show, the largest Indoor Nautical Salon in Latin America, which takes place at the São Paulo Expo pavilion. This edition will be marked by debates about attracting investments to promote tourism in small towns, qualification of labor to generate jobs and the possibility of concession models that can positively impact the sector.

More than that, the Congress will bring real and already consolidated experiences from municipalities that have achieved better economic and social development through investments in the nautical chain. Colombia's economist and nautical tourism manager, Antonella Farah, will come to Brazil to share the changes in the city of Serena del Mar, a large-scale urban development located on the north coast of Cartagena, as it has become an internationally recognized nautical destination.

The program will also include the presentation of the Manual Developed by the São Paulo Nautical Forum: “Step by Step for Cities to Invest in Nautical Tourism”, with the presence of Marco Antônio Castello Branco, president of the São Paulo Nautical Forum, and Klaus “Cacau” Peters, founding partner of Intermarinas. In addition, participants will be able to get in touch with an international panorama of the nautical sector with the representative of ICOMIA (International Council of Marine Industry Associations), Udo Kleinitz. Eduardo Trani, Undersecretary for the Environment of the State of São Paulo at SIMA - Secretariat of Infrastructure and Environment of the State of São Paulo, is also confirmed as a speaker.
