According to the website Direito da Orla, published by lawyer Dr. Ernesto São Thiago, the difficulty was that, although payment was determined, the INSS did not have all the information necessary to verify the right to receive the benefit: they were not yet in the system .

According to Ernesto São Thiago, the INSS sent SAP/MAPA a file with the list of all requests based only on the fisherman's portfolio protocol and now SAP/MAPA is, in the next few days, returning another one with the information of each related fisherman (such as fishing method/modality, target species, fishing area) so that the INSS can, finally, verify if each one of them is eligible to receive the closed, in addition to cross-referencing data to analyze if there is any other source of income or assets that prevents access to the benefit.

We went to get the information and it proceeds! We interviewed José Henrique Francisco, Head of the MAPA/SC division, who clarified in greater detail the efforts of the Santa Catarina regional office of MAPA together with the INSS to solve the problem.
